This blog is about the beginning and growth of myself and my body/mind training center. I practice holistic yoga, DahnMuDo (a form of Tai Chi), Qigong, Meditation and Energy Healing. These practices have tranformed my being in the past few years: from a high power but low self esteemed executive to a warm hearted healer; from a left-brained analyst to a relatively balance-brained artist; from a negative “energy sucker” to an energy master. It is my biggest joy to share my learning to my students – especially when we can communciate on a soul to soul level.
Our modern society generally has narrowed the definition of “Health” to only physical level. We treated our stomache with an antacid, we used potent 5HT3 antagonist for our migraine even it is just a quick fix; we believe that we need to change our hip every 10 years – maybe we should also bargain for a better warranty! I am really glad that the current definition of health by World Health Organization involves physical, mental and social health of a person. With that standard, most people in our society may not be as healthy as they appeared. We need regular work out not just on our muscle, lung, heart but as a wholesome human being!!
It is no longer a “nice to have” to practice yoga, tai chi, meditation or any other form of body mind training. We are so stressed and tensed that a lot of people developed diseases caused by imbalance in their body (e.g autoimmune disease, pain in general, diabetes, high blood pressure etc). These imbalance in turn usually caused by our thoughts. Our enviroment does not change easily but we can try to change our thoughts. However, it is easier to say and do it! Yoga, Tai Chi, Meditation, Breathing exercises will help us centered and grounded. With that, we could have a distance from our emotion and thoughts. Then we will have the ability to change our thoughts on the spot (e.g You are irritated when the driver of another car yelled at you because of your turn. If you are centered, you will be able to CHOOSE whether you yell it back with a stressed mind or just let go and feel okay with it!)
